Even More Bad Updates on Raw Crew Getting Out of Belfast

Again as of this writing, all air travel in UK Airspace including in Belfast where the Raw Crew is, has been totally "shut down" until now the earliest 1AM Sunday Night/Monday Morning and in Ireland that has been extended until Midday Local Time Monday (though Northern Ireland is part of UK, but not definitely in UK airspace). That is also looking like that deadline will be pushed back even further, making it now nearly impossible for the Raw Crew to New Jersey before Monday Night. Here is the latest estimated Ash Cloud Map with Belfast being the Red dot:
Here are some more WWE Tweets:

Kofi Kingston:
"in total limbo right now waiting for the air space to be cleared. On the bright side, there are worse places than Belfast to be stranded in."

John Morrison on his Experiences on the way home:
"while looking for terminal 1 at Madrid Airport: "I think we just went in a circle." " I think we made a wrong turn in Chicago 2 weeks ago.""

Matt Hardy on his:
"Although I feel bad that the WWE had to postpone the Turkey & Austria events for those fans.. Hate we had to miss those shows to get home. Here's the deal-Wake up at 6 am Fri morn, prep, travel, & catch a train at 11 am (5 hrs) Uncomfortable train ride from Hannover, Germany to Zurich, Switzerland that took 7 hrs (12 hrs) Go directly to venue & perform which was 5 hrs (17) Get on a bus for 6 hrs (23) Break, eat, & get the ONLY bus that would take us to Madrid, Spain (24 hrs) spent 18 torturous hours on that bus (42 hrs) to barely make our flight to the States which took almost 10 hrs (52 hrs) Clear customs, get to hotel and a bed took about 2 hrs (54 hrs total) Top that travel story guys!"

Why at Mania?

Why has John Morrison and R Truth AKA Rock 'n' Rap or The White Shadow and Black Magic, been given a tag team title shot at Wrestlemania over established teams like the Hart's or Cryme Tyme or even the Straight Edge Society? Well probably because Cryme Tyme and the Hart Dynasty have less charisma than either John Morrison or R Truth. Why not the Straight Edge Society obviously because Punk is being groomed to taken on Rey Mysterio at Wrestlemania. Although with Bret Hart at Mania it would seem to make sense to have the Hart Dynasty there but I am not going to complain too much as I like the pairing of JoMo and Truth. This match could have potential as the Miz and Morrison have history but, to be honest I don't see the team of The White Shadow and Black Magic of winning as The Big Show's strength will out shine Morrison and Truth's offense, on top of that The Miz is a rising star and I think that taking away his titles could ruin him.

2009 Dirty Awards: Most Improved

Nominations and Winner:
- Kofi Kingston
- John Morrison
- Dolph Ziggler
- The Miz (Winner)
- David Hart Smith
I defy anybody to disagree with our nomination for most improved. The Miz, A good tag team wrestler became an amazing singles wrestler. Not only that he has won the US title he beat John Cena 5 times this year (sort of.) Most importantly when The Miz and Morrison split The Miz left as the dominate partner, which he proved at Bragging Rights and Survivor Series. John Morrison did not win most improved because he was already amazing and only got slightly better. This is a similar situation to Kofi Kingston. Dolph Ziggler has improved dramatically since he randomly us to introduce himself to people. He just needed a title to improve his chance dramatically of winning this award. DH Smith has improved since join the Hart Dynasty but just not on the same level as The Miz took take the prize. But bright things can be expected from all of these people.

2009 Dirty Awards: Finisher of the Year

Nominations and Winners:
- Hell’s Gate (The Undertaker) (Co-Winner)
- Knockout Punch (Big Show)
- Cross Rhodes (Cody Rhodes)
- Starship Pain (John Morrison) (Co-Winner)
- Skull Crushing Finale (The Miz)
The co-winners of this Dirty have got it for different reasons. The Hell’s gate won the award for its dominance and sheer destructive nature. On the other hand Starship Pain won the award for its flamboyancy and sheer athleticism. The Big Show was nominated for the award like the Hell’s Gate for its dominance rather than appearance. The Cross Rhodes and the Skull Crushing Finale were nominated for their aggressiveness and their classy look.

2009 Dirty Awards: OMG! Moment of the Year

Nominations and Winner:
- The Undertaker’s suicide dive at Wrestlemania 25, 5th April (Winner)
- Edge Blindsiding Kofi at No Way Out, 15th February
- JBL Quitting at Wrestlemania 25, 5th April
- The Miz and Morrison splitting up at WWE Draft, 13th April
- Big Show Chokeslams John Cena through the searchlight at Backlash, 26th April
The Suicide Dive won, because it was one of the few times WWE managed mine and O’Dea’s suspend disbelief. We both genuinely thought Taker had broken his neck. What made the moment better was realising that he was ok because it was still an amazing feat of athleticism. Edge blindsiding Kofi was a contender because after Edge lost it was funny and what made it more shocking is that Edge went on to win the title which was another surprise. JBL quitting was an OMG moment more for the way it happened rather than the event itself. Firstly I thought JBL would retire as champ and secondly I never imagined he would leave after a 30 second speech. (O’Dea Note: I still think it should have been the Jeff Hardy leg drop miss & twist of fate in the chair at WM25.) The splitting of the Greatest Tag Team of the 21st Century (arguably ever so far) was a shock because they were such a cohesive unit and they had a very popular internet show, the name of which I forget and yet WWE split them up but looks like they were right to do so because look how successful they are now. Big Show chokeslamming Cena was shocking but it was obviously staged and that is what let it down.

NEXT UP: Least Shocking Moment of the Year

2009 Dirty Awards: Best Entrance

Nominations and Winner:
- John Morrison [With Pyro] (Winner)
- The Undertaker
- R-Truth
- Rey Mysterio
- Chris Masters
Although all of these superstars have spectacular entrances but there is on entrance that is simply breath taking. Before the introduction of the pyrotechnic it was great but with the addition of the pyrotechnic it is beyond belief.

O’Dea Note: No Doubt that since Morrison got pyro it was obvious who was going to win this award, unlike when Primo got the Catharine Wheels during his entrance, strange. Personally I would only think that this award could be won by either Rey or John, but you have to be impressed with the, now, former Intercontinental Champion’s entrance definitely the best in the WWE Universe.

NEXT UP: Feud of the Year

2009 Dirty Awards: Match of the Year

Nominations and Winner:
- Rey Mysterio (c) vs. John Morrison, Intercontinental Title Match, Smackdown, 4th September
- The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels, Wrestlemania 25, 5th August (winner)
- Legacy vs. D-Generation X, Submissions Count Anywhere Match, Breaking Point, 13th Setember
- Randy Orton (c) Vs John Cena, 60-Minute Anything Goes WWE Ironman Match, Bragging Rights, 25th October
- Edge (c) vs Jeff Hardy ladder match, Extreme Rules, 7th June

Do I really need to explain why this match is the winner of this dirty? Shawn Michaels’ entrance was amazing. Even if The Undertaker’s entrance was a Gangrel rip off we can forgive that for what happened next. The match was ‘vintage’ Undertaker and HBK. We saw classic Wrestlemania moments like Takers suicide dive (see dirty award for OMG moment of the year) as well as the finish HBK Moonsault into a Tombstone. The other candidates are their also for obvious reasons. JoMo vs. Mysterio was one of the best matches I have seen on Smackdown but the lack of storyline is what let it down. The Falls count anywhere submission match was good because the ending was a shock and it proved Legacy could work hard. The Iron Man match was a brilliant spectacle but the technical ability of the superstars was lacking. The ladder match between Jeff and Edge was a reminder of so many of their epic battles of the past but still a great match in its own right.

O’Dea Note: Taker-Michaels was arguably the match of the decade. They tore the house down, like everyone knew they would. They went for just under 31 minutes and strangely I thought that they were still limited or not given enough time, probably because Trips wanted 20 minutes at the end, I mean that match really screwed the audience at Reliant Stadium over, it wasn’t Wrestlemania Main Event quality especially after the nearly picture perfect build up. And also Triple H never actually smashed through that glass live, they just saw him stand there for a second then walk down the ramp through a frame, people in the stadium must have gone “What, What on earth was that”. I mean, what happened there surely if Shelton is allowed to jump off that enormous ladder, live, surely Trips can break a bit of glass, live!

I also really liked the Submissions Count Anywhere Match, it was interesting how they were going to do it leading up to the PPV, but they didn’t disappoint, the only disappointment, if any, was you knew that Shawn Michaels would be the one who took the loss. I was the over-riding reason that the Ironmatch was in the nominations just because of the spectacle and in relation to the rest of the PPV, it was miles and miles better than anything else on the card. The only reservation I have with that match was how obvious the ending the was and who was going to win with just under 2 minutes to go.

Wrestling Quote #32: You Were Always Flat on Your Back

This quote is from tonight's WWE SmackDown. Matt Striker doesn't always like John Morrison, and had this to say about his apparent arrogance and showboating in the ring:
Matt Striker:
"I was never one in my ring time to be pompous or arrogant or waste time, no wasted movement"
Todd Grishams:
"You were always flat on your back"

HIAC 2009 Match Preview - Intercontinental Championship Match

This is a match that has been a long time in the making, it got the build up it needed and I'm glad of that, I just think that John Morrison needs to clean up his babyface mic work, and it hasn't helped and is he or the crowd say "MR ZIGGLES" tonight, I'm going to be so angry! Anyway, these two have shown what they can do on many an occasion and this is one of the reasons I would buy the Pay-Per-View.

There is no doubt that Dolph Ziggler, gained so much whilst working with Rey Mysterio, including mine and others' respect. That all came to a head at SummerSlam, where Dolph had probably the best match of his carrer, yes and I'm including his time in the Spirit Squad in that. I was almost annoyed for Dolph, when Rey Mysteriod got suspended, because there was no doubt that he was going to win at Breaking Point. And believe me, I'm not saying that WWE's choice to put the belt on Morrison was wrong, no way, they had a great match, which helped JoMo's credibility yet again, after his wins over CM Punk during the Summer.

John Morrison has matured and in my view, along with Dolph, is a future main eventer and World Champ, he has it all, my respect from his days as heel, the athletic ability, the drive, the look and the mic skills, no, he still needs to work on them and get them to standard they were when he was a part of the greatest tag team of the twenty-first century.

I expect much from this match and it will not disappoint.

Judgement Day 2009: Shelton Benjamin vs John Morrison

At Judgment Day, two of the most athletic Superstars in WWE will unleash their rivalry on the WWE Universe as John Morrison takes on Shelton Benjamin. Destiny has been moving these two driven, squared-circle technicians toward an explosive collision since Morrison premiered on SmackDown in Madison Square Garden. On that fateful night, The Shaman of Sexy educated Benjamin in the ways of the Palace of Wisdom, defeating the former United States Champion. This set the dangerous wheels of mayhem in motion, as Benjamin and Morrison launched a dual-brand rivalry, using both Thursday and Friday nights as a staging ground on which to wage their relentless physical and psychological warfare. On “WWE Superstars” two weeks ago, The Gold Standard truly shined, interfering in Morrison’s match against Chris Jericho which led directly to his defeat. However, when Benjamin tried to proclaim “ain’t nobody stopping me, no!” on SmackDown - recruiting his former tag team champion partner Charlie Haas to topple Morrison - The Friday Night Delight lit Haas’ fire. His momentum then broke on through in the last week leading up to Judgment Day. First, on “WWE Superstars,” Morrison floored Benjamin after The Gold Standard lost to Rey Mysterio. Then, on Friday night, Morrison and his ‘mystery partner” CM Punk proved triumphant over Benjamin & Haas in a high-octane tag team match of mayhem. Week after week, Morrison and Benjamin have fueled the fires, and now only the explosion remains. And when the combined skill and determination that these two Superstars have unloads itself upon the WWE Universe, they could very well steal the show. Don’t miss Judgment Day, Sunday May 17 at 8pm ET/1am BST, only on pay-per-view.

Melina & John Morrison back together

Melina and John Morrison were together at the Hall of Fame ceremony a few weeks ago as they are once again a couple. They were put back together on the same brand at least in part as a result of their relationship. A couple of years ago they were a on-screen heel couple on Raw as part of MNM, it'll be interesting to see if WWE use them as an on screen couple again, and with Morrison's face turn, it looks like that could be possible.

Thoughts on Orton vs Batista & WWE's Young Guns (HQ)

I don't know why, but I feel like I've seen Orton-Batista too many times and over a too short a time period, by looking at the picture on the match preview, it just looks too same-ish. And when it's only Judgement Day, the second summer PPV, that's not great for WWE, there's a long time until Summerslam and I'm already bored with this match. It might be because of the disappointing match they had a Armageddon, which I don't actually remember that well.
In theory these two are two of the biggest stars in the WWE, and probably could have a great match. But they will not because Batista is not the star, athlete or wrestler that Randy Orton is, he's boring, he's the same old stuff night after night and to be honest he's an over paid and over hyped powerhouse (like the common fat school bully). His best years are behind him, from this point on, he will not have a career-defining match. At this point in time, someone like Santino Marella has a better chance at a history-making match or moment, than Batista.
Sure, I'm being harsh and angry, but that's it as well, I feel distain for Batista, he angers me (and seeing him doing absolutely nothing, just standing around, at the Hatton-Pacquiao fight on Saturday didn't help, only cause WWE didn't have any House Shows this weekend).
Anyway, away from how s**t Batista is. WWE could have used this as a chance to get a real #1 contender, and not just through a stupid match, that was an apparent set up by Vickie and Big Show, which was always going to go Batista's way. But I do have to commend the WWE slightly on the drama with Cena coming out to taunt Show, considering they nearly killed him off the night before; I have to admit I didn't expect that.
As I was saying, with two of the WWE's top superstars "on the shelf", this could have been the golden opportunity to showcase some real young talent. Whilst on the subject, it'll be interesting to see how a John Morrison face turn will work, you can see it happening already, even with him saying "S'up Teddy" to Teddy Long rather casually. And I really want to see Morrison and Jericho square off, ironic considering JR has called Morrison a young Shawn Michaels; he also looked good against Shelton Benjamin, but would have loved to seen an epic match, like Shelton and 'Taker had the other week. That's another supertstar who has it all just not the backing from Vince, at least he's got a bit further than his former tag team partner Charlie Haas, who seems to be finishing his impersonating days and tag teaming with Knox whilst over here in Europe. And also it'll be good to see how Miz's heel run goes on Raw after his "win" over John Cena on Monday Night.
Here is a clip from Friday Night's Smackdown were Chris Jericho & John Morrison meet for the first time, their part starts from 1:02.

Why Morrison & Khali were pulled from the MSG Scramble Match

Credit: F4WOnline.com During Monday's RAW, John Morrison and The Great Khali were advertised to take part in a Scramble Match for this week's episode of Friday Night Smackdown with the winner facing Edge for his World Heavyweight Championship at Judgment Day. Come Tuesday, the match was changed to a No. 1 Contender Fatal Four Way Elimination Match featuring Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy and Kane. Both Morrison and Khali were dropped from the match. The reason for Morrison being dropped from the match is because the company plans on pushing him as a babyface on Smackdown this summer and didn't want to risk him getting a negative reaction. As far as Khali is concerned, Vince McMahon doesn't see "The Punjabi Nightmare/Playboy" as a headliner anymore. Furthermore, his removal would improve the quality of the match.

Backlash My Arse!

Tonight is the 11th time "Backlash" has been used as a PPV and probably will be the worst ever. I'll start with the Undercard will I? Well I can't because it consists of the Great Khali and Santino's gay love fest (and there isn't Ron Simmons to say "DAMN!" anymore). It might be comedy, but I wouldn't pay to watch that (but I don't need to, cause it's free on Sky Sports in the UK tonight), put it on 15 minutes into ECW not the PPV. Since WWE when back to all tri-branded PPVs at Backlash 2007, it should mean that they have enough for a PPV every time, well, the last year they've show that they can't do it.
The One match that would have worked and would have actually fitted the PPV's title "Backlash", would have been The Miz vs John Morrison, if they have actually got some TV time, but Morrison did a good Dirt Sheet whilst he took dig at The Miz and could have been a good lead up to a match. But to be honest, most of the rest of the card might make up for the disappointment, or the sick feeling after seeing an Indian and an Italian drag up lock up. The Last Man Standing Match should be good, but the kinda got the "end of the feud" thing out of the blue and where did the simulation that it's Edge's last chance come from??? The tag match might also be alright as well, only as long as Randy Orton & Legacy win. Because I don't want to see anymore of Shane and Batista tagging together and main eventing Smackdown (strange for Raw superstars, isn't it, but don't worry they can just get Michael Cole to say that it will be back to normal after Backlash). I also hope that Steamboat has a great match as well, he looked in great shape at WrestleMania and against Jericho they could have a good match, and more than your average legends match. And thanks to websites like this, the "I Quit" match, which will be a good match (with all the emotion that it needs and the high risk moves that this match needs), could already be over with out it happening. Kane/Punk, well blah blah blah, the top of the ladder, blah blah blah. And Christian should win the ECW Championship, unless Vince still has a problem with that and thinks that he is a mid-carder, oh sorry, forgot that ECW is SHIT at the moment. Anyway, WWE hasn't exactly packed it in for tonight where they could have, because they haven't exactly planned it out after WrestleMania and they WILL be worse off after tonight, if you believe dirt sheet websites.

The Undertaker- Who next?

The Undertaker has finished his program with HBK and the question is who should he fight next? 1. CM Punk - Perhaps Taker could get the MitB contract from him and start and new title reign. 2. John Morrison - The Shaman of Sexy could take on The Phenom of the WWE as his introduction to Smackdown 3. The Colón - Taker reunites with Kane and challenges for the Tag titles 4. Dolph Ziggler - After an impressive win over MVP perhaps Ziggler may make the Undertaker take notice of him. 5. Mike Knox- The New Raw draftee may wish to try his luck with The Undertaker. 6. The Self Proclaimed World's Greatest Tag Team - With Haas and Benjamin on the same brand perhaps they will reform and try as many have before to remove the Undertaker from the WWE, perhaps this feud could include Kane.
