ECW, Some people need to Shut the Hell up
This is just a short article about ECW, the third brand of WWE. Now lets clear one thing up the last time O'Dea watched ECW George Bush was in the White House, so I would love to know where all his deep insight on the brand is coming from.
With regards to me calming down about Regal cause he is English, well if O'Dea thinks that is the only reason I value about the British Brawler then he is very wrong. In all honest the WWE have been under using a very talented Superstar, Regal is one of the best technical wrestler in WWE and that was proved in WCW. Interestingly O'Dea mentioned Drew McIntyre because unlike William Regal Drew McIntyre is being used properly so therefore he would not need to jump up and down about him.
Also if you are looking at the Dirty Awards they are meant to cover all of WWE which includes ECW and Kozlov is under-ratted but O'Dea has always hated Kozlov and to be honest he seems to hate all big men: Batista, Kozlov and the Great Khali all fall it to O'Dea's web of hate (although I agree with regards to Khali.)
ECW has also got lots of great talented young superstars. What ECW lacks is time, being only a hour show it causes lots of difficulties in making the program fresh. But overall ECW has all the raw potential to be a great third brand if given the chance.

2009 Dirty Awards: Brand of the Year
Nominations and Winner:
Raw
Smackdown (Winner)
ECW
The Best brand of the year award goes to Smackdown because it doesn’t have to deal with plugging guest host or poor viewing times in the UK. RAW obviously has to plug things for the guest host and sometimes that works other times it fail miserably and the wrestling is forgotten. This is why Smackdown is the brand of the year.
NEXT UP: Finisher of the Year
Raw
Smackdown (Winner)

WWE WWE WWE WWE WWE WWE WWE
As the title of the article suggests I am find WWE's programing a bit repetitive. The reunion of DX the third although funny and the future promises to be funny I can't help but feel that it is a case of been there done that. On top of that if this senario is anything like what WWE did with the Miz and Morrison, DX will probably beat Legacy as the dinosaurs beat the young guns.
The main event picture is no better with Randy Orton taking on John Cena again. It feels stale. Also if we look at Cena's recent sparing partner The Miz he has been reduce to being banned from 'SummerFest' sorry 'SummerSlam' by some no name wally of a guest host. On top of that He took on the returning Eugene to get his title back.
Mark Henry is now face, but not the sort of face that could be the new number one contender, just a joke in primary colour, why not put Eugene with Hornswoggle the perfect combo. Also two of the biggest heels in the company, one literally one not so. The Big Show and Y2J have been bundled together as tag champions at a time when Smackdown needs Jericho as CM Punk is the only top end heel. Also Big Show looks awful in primary colours and should only wear black because that suits his character.
However it is not all bad, William Regal is now the ECW number 1 contender. Also the young guns of Swagger, Kofi, MVP, Shelton, Morrison, Ryder, Ziggler, Evan Bourne and Chris Masters are being given some time to shine. Mickie James is the new Divas Champion which is thoroughly deserved as she is one of the best divas in the company. So there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
So at the momment I've got just one word for WWE, Repetative.

Quick note on the draft
ECW was screwed in the recent draft, hopefully it will pick up in the supplement draft.
Punk to pick up a title at Backlash assuming Edge loses.
Swagger did well against Cena proving he is a hot prospect.
The Bromance is over and the Miz and Morrison are split (for now) hopefully in the meantime The Miz could pick up the US title.
Let's see what will happen on Wednesday!!!

Road to Wrestlemania and WWE in General
WWE is rolling full steam ahead towards Wrestlemania. Money in the Bank is full up and my hope to win is Kane, but despite internet rumours I think it is Captain Charisma will be taking the briefcase away or will CM Punk make it two in a row?
This could be my personal opinion but I have never been a fan of Matt and Jeff Hardy and so I am not particularly excited about this match, but usually Jeff is a solid performer with lots of spills and so is Matt, therefore despite lack of interest on my part it should be good.
On Smackdown the Undertaker defeated Kozlov to make it 1-1 and on Raw there was an average tag team match between HBK and Taker Vs JBL and Kozlov. Kozlov’s ring work is getting better and better but the overall match was poor and the surprise ‘Sweet Chin Music’ on the ramp was poor and Shawn’s mad rant was poor.
Also on Smackdown Kofi looked fired up taking on Edge and that could signal great things for the WWE and this young rising star. Also Carltio and Primo was unsuccessful which in my opinion is a good thing because I think that the Miz and Morrison are the best tag team in the WWE and this shows that when they took on DX last year there should have been a clear winner and it was not the men in green and black.
The World title matches are a really interesting prospect. HHH VS Randy Orton especially with the house invasion being very dramatic. Also the Edge, Vickie and Show love triangle (something I never fought I would say!)
HHH VS Rhodes was a great match showing the power of The Game. The inclusion of the cage along with Legacy was amazing. Rhodes unfortunately did not get the chance to show how talented he is but if there was a Tag team match at Mania I would like to see: Legacy VS The Miz and Morrison VS the Carlito and Primo VS Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne to unify the tag team titles, with the Miz and Morrison winning the belts cause this would cement their status as the number 1 tag team in the WWE.
Jack Swagger has disappeared from ECW seemingly or at least it feels like that, I think I have seen DJ Gabriel and Paul Burchill more than the champion. Personally I think he is a great champion but needs more time to progress in his skill.
Also just to finish up I hope ‘Good Old’ JR Jim Ross is ok after from suffering chest pains that he later found out to be walking pneumonia. I hope that he gets better soon.

Bye Bye Boogey
The Boogeyman is gone and I wish him the best of luck and hope he stays away for TNA!
ECW loses one of it's stars, but as they say every cloud has a silver lining and this cloud's is the fact that Kizarny has also gone Goizod luizck tizo hizm, however he can go to TNA.
Speaking of TNA it is rumoured that 'dangerous' Danny Bonaduce' will be taking part in a match at Lockdown and despite the fact he is the best in Hulk Hogan's CCW he should not be in the six sided ring he should be in the WWE four sided ring. Actually I don't think anyone should be in the six sided ring and Dixie Carter should cut her loses and shut TNA down, before WWE has to buy it out like WCW and ECW before it.
Wrestlemania 25 looks to be hoting up but my major concern is that with 23 days and counting left not all of the matches have been decided and therefore there may be a struggle to build up enough heat. Although the two Texans in the main event HBK and The Undertaker will take the roof off and when Taker wins (sorry if Taker wins) the hometown crowd will go wild.
Finally just to say that I agree with JR who said he wanted Joey Style to commentate on the Diva Battle Royal, it would be interesting how many times he would say 'OH MY GOD!' or 'CAT FIGHT!' the way that only he can.
