Wrestlemania XXVI Preview: Triple Threat Match
Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, finally we get the real implosion of Legacy. How long have they been teasing this? Year and a half? Oh yeah, that was it, Ted was meant to leave the others behind and become face, just in time for his new movie coming out. But thanks to a couple of guys on the internet, that never happened and his movie, The Marine 2 (or something) probably bombed, I mean they hardly talked about it.
Anyway back to the match, and the Apex Predator of the WWE, Randy Orton is now the good guy in all of this. But Triple Threat? I know it’s like the only thing we haven’t seen between these guys, but these guys have been left on the back burner on Raw, I mean there would have been better build up if Randy had been seen by Ted kissing Cody, Ted running off cry and bitch slapping Randy Orton.
I heard around a month ago that they wanted to have a Triple Threat with their fathers in each corner and I would actually prefer that, storyline wise. I mean Ted and Cody could have easily beaten up Cowboy Bob Orton whilst he just happened to be visiting his son (for no apparent reason). I mean, hello! Dusty Rhodes just happens to be a play-by-play at FCW, easy or what? And the Million Dollar Man is being inducted into something the night before, what is it? Oh Yeah, The Hall of Fame!
Now seriously back to the match, I have no doubting it will be a good match and these three can pull it off. Well that’s what I said about the Mickie James vs. Michelle McCool match at the Royal Rumble and see what happened to that. This should be a good match and a perfect opportunity for Cody and/or Ted to become breakout stars, and if you want to go with the triple threat stip with the match, you could say single breakout stars.
If they want to be able, by the end of the night, say “I Made It”, this is their make or break match. I say this because I truly want them to succeed, because they have potential and I want them to breakout and in Cody’s case, lose a slump, a cloud around him or is it a glass ceiling. He’s been pissed on too much. Both of them nearly broke through and truly made their names during their feud with DX last year. I mean they were at the top of the world after their win at Breaking Point in their Submissions Count Anywhere Match, but under a month later, they, and mostly Cody, got shat on at Hell in a Cell.
“No one wants to see those young guys, they will never be anything, they suck!”
Well they wouldn’t suck so much if their push hadn’t been stopped at a click of the fingers.
“Who’s that one with the nose, I wanna see more of him”.
Yeah, Triple H didn’t really let those two get past the starting post, Shawn seemed to be up to it, but who’s the Son-In-Law? Oh Yeah.
God, I really can't keep on subject can I. All I can say now is that I hope the match is hundred times better than the build-up. I'm looking for this match to go into the double figures in the minutes column, time wise. And I'm looking for real separation from Cody and Ted, okay fair enough, they will go after Randy together and that I'll play into the commentators hands, but I want it to be a real Triple Threat and not another 2-on-1 with a bit of play fighting between the other two. No matter how gay it sounds.

Royal Rumble 2010: WWE Championship Match
This is my first one of these so lets make it a good one. Sheamus the Celtic Warrior vs. Randy Orton. Well rewind a few months and no one would have believed that this would ever happen. But as they always say 'anything can happen in the WWE!'
Well this match came about after about two years of people seeing the same three people in the main event picture on RAW one way or another usually together: Randy Orton, Triple H and John Cena. Vince for once listen to the fans and went for a young new champion in Sheamus. However, some fans were not happy with that, they moaned that it should have been Bourne or Kofi. Well the old saying goes you can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time. Personally I like Sheamus as champ but I am bias because he is from Ireland and I am from England and we hate the Irish slightly less than the Americans (joke although most stereotypes would have you believe this.)
Orton vs. Sheamus is a Heel vs. a Tweener. WWE would rather Orton was fully heel but the people just love to cheer him. This match could be a classic or it could suck majorly. This depends on Orton's temperament and the crowds reaction and believe it or not the commentary. How this story is told is perhaps more important outside the ring by the commentary team as both Sheamus and Orton are good workers.
The 'smart money' is on Orton according to many people because he is the safe hands the veteran going into Wrestlemania. But given the right opponent at Mania and the right under card joint main event I don't see why he cannot be trusted with the match. Personally, I want to see the Celtic Warrior Sheamus to win. Just to prove that Vince can put faith in a non-veteran to win at a big four.
Royal Rumble is Sunday, 31st January 2010 Live on Pay-Per-View at 8pm ET/5pm PT/1am GMT.

Randy Orton Responds To Assault Claims
Randy Orton wrote a message on his website regarding the alleged incident after the recent WWE show in Boston at Kowloon's restaurant. Here's Orton's side of the story:
“Here’s what happened: I walked out of Kowloon’s Friday night around 12:30-1 a.m. with Santino and a police officer escort. As I was being rudely hounded for pictures and autos (I had a 6:40 a.m. flight through Minni to Lincoln, then a drive to Omaha, a match, a drive back to Omaha, then a charter to Minni, and a driver to Rochester for the next show the next day, btw), I was confronted by an older women who said: ‘Hey Randy, you spit on my handicapped son a few years ago at a show, what do you have to say about that?’ My replay...`So Sue me.’ Then I proceeded to my car, with Santino and the cop and drove back to our hotel by the Boston airport. I know I have been a bit of a hothead in the past, but I DID NOT spit gum and call names to any child. The women is claiming I called her son a `retard’ 3 times, and spit gum in his face. Come on people, even at my worst temperament, I would never call a handicapped child something awful like that. I’ll actually sign anything for any child with any disability. I heard just today from WWE attorneys that this women filed assault charges against me 4 days later? Hmmm, oh, and what about the dozens of cops at the restaurant that were there for crowd control since there were over 100 wrestling fans there? Not to mention the cop that escorted me to my freaking car. I’ll be happy when this is over. I guess if I’ve learned anything from this, it is not to ever challenge anyone to sue me.”

Randy Orton Accused of Assaulting Teen
ABC Affiliate out of Boston, WCVB 5 is reporting among other news outlets that a teenage boy has pressed charges against Randy Orton for assault on Tuesday, this is from their website thebostonchannel.com:
"BOSTON -- A local teen said a World Wrestling Entertainment star assaulted him outside a restaurant on Tuesday after he asked for a picture.
Wrestler Randal “Randy” Orton is accused of spitting gum in the face of the teen and swearing at him outside Kowloon Restaurant, WickedLocal Saugus reported.
A 15-year-old male went to the Saugus Police Station on Tuesday to reported that Orton, 29, assaulted him after asking if he could take a picture with the wrestler at the Route 1 restaurant around 6:30 p.m.
A second teen told police he witnessed the incident.
Police filed a hearing request on the matter for simple assault and battery, the paper reported."
It is also making the rounds on the Wrestling Dirt Sheets that once the boy's mother interjected about the incident he said, "So Sue Me!"
Randy Orton has been known for his short temper in the past and has spoken about it openly and frankly, and the anger management that he underwent a few years ago. The most recent example of this, even though it could have easily have been planned, was when he "flipped out" in an interview on Mexican TV, when the interviewer called him "fragile", as you can see in the video below:

2009 Dirty Awards: Superstar of the Year
Nominations and Winner:
- CM Punk
- The Undertaker
- Chris Jericho (Winner)
- Jeff Hardy
- Randy Orton
Chris Jericho is the Dirt Sheet HD Superstar of the Year.
Why I hear you ask? Because between him and Orton, they have put on a display on how to be a heel. Y2J wins it because he is a standalone heel, Orton has his stable and despite Jericho having Big Show, Orton just lacked something this year to give him the award. Hardy did not last the entire year and also because of his drug issue he had I have got to say that tainted any chance he got of winning the award. The Undertaker has had a brilliant half year but his break between Wresltemania and Summerslam/Breaking Point meant that he cannot win the award. Punk has had an epic year as the new straight edge preacher and if he can keep this momentum up he could quite easily win the award next year.
O’Dea Note: To be honest, any of these nominations could have won this Dirty. But Chris Jericho was definitely the right choice for the winner but Orton and Punk would have been fighting it out for a close second place.

- Randy Orton Vs Kofi Kingston ("Costing Title" and a Rising Star)
- Chris Jericho Vs. WWE Legends
This Dirty should not be confused with Best Feud of the Year. This Dirty is looking at everything involved except the matches between the Superstars involved. The reason why Cena vs. The Miz won is that it really helped The Miz get to where he is now a serious rising star. The promos The Miz cut were amazing and to be honest what he was saying about Cena echoed what some of the crowd was thinking. The Batista vs. Mysterio angle is good but I did dislike the use of Eddie Guerrero’s death which mean this storyline could never win the Dirty. Jeff Hardy and CM Punk had brilliant matches but the storyline itself got very repetitive, there is only so many times you can hear about freedom of choice and the evils of drugs before you get bored. Kingston vs. Orton the only thing perhaps stopping this feud winning the Dirty is that it started to late in the year. Y2J vs. Legends feud really got a shot in the arm by the violent assault against Ric Flair which might have been the first blood I had seen before the PG split which made it special. But Mickey Rouke and a lack of development let this feud down and meant it could not win the Dirty.
O’Dea Notes: And the fact that Mickey Rouke randomly calling him out and then being told that because of an insurance policy, he couldn’t fight a fly let alone a Jericho. We don’t care about Ironman 2.

‘I’m the Miz and I’m awesome!’ A simple statement yet it set up a whole new character for The Miz leading him into a whole new career which will lead to great things. The Miz’s new gimmick is unique which is why he also won the Dirty. The only complaint with this new gimmick is the change of attire. Y2J gimmick is amazingly executed but is too similar to Orton’s Viper gimmick and that is why they could not win the Dirty. Big Show’s Monster heel is good but not unique enough to win the Dirty although together Y2J and Big Show’s gimmick combined make then the Best Tag Team this year. - "Too many lies" by Jim Johnson ft Sean Jenness (Sheamus) [Co-Winner]
- "Crank the Walls Down" by Maylene and the Sons of Disaster (Jerishow) [Co-Winner]
This Dirty is based on music however the reasons can be explained are not just about preference but more about the impact. The two winning songs were picked for different reasons. Crank the Walls Down is a good song because it matched the contrast of styles of both Jericho and Big Show also it matches their aggression. Too many lies combines Sheamus’ Irish nature with an aggressive sound also to match. I am perfection sums Dolph’s arrogance perfectly. Voices sums Orton’s IED and his vile, vindictive and manipulative nature. It’s a New Day highlights legacy drive and determination to be better than their fathers.

- Vladimir Kozlov vs. Ezekiel Jackson
Unlike the best and worst storyline of the year Dirty this award looks at the matches and story combined. Punk vs. Hardy won because it took real life and incorporated it. Disappointingly Punk’s warning of Hardy’s lifestyle costing him seems all too true. Legacy and DX’s feud was born out Triple H’s frustration of being old and needing a partner and it went from there. Cena vs. Orton was a good heel vs. Face feud but it lacked the cutting edge to win the award. Taker vs. HBK was a good match and the build up was amazing starting simply with the line ‘the road to Heaven can be Hell’ but I lacked the longevity to make it the feud of the year. Kozlov vs. Jackson and the Ruthless Roundtable is probably the best thing to come from ECW this year. The one-upmanship led to a stable which now looks like it could be falling apart at the seams but as it has not finished it cannot be feud of the year.
O’Dea Note: I don’t know where this last one has come from Methos has just put this in, that’s rubbish that’s not a feud. I’m Annoyed that Zeke-Vladimir got anywhere near this category, It’s not because I haven’t been watching ECW recently, back when that feud was happening I was watching all of ECW every week and that stuff with those two was stupid and crap and to be honest I think Methos was just looking at the bias article on WWE.com about ECW when he wasn't watching it. They think that one diva slapping another (not very well) is a brutal beat down. But otherwise, thanks to a great heel turn by CM Punk his feud against Jeff Hardy was an odds on favourite and well earned winner of this Dirty. It’s strange really because I put up an article on an interview that talked about Punk going heel and back then, it really felt like a millennium away from it actually happening, but I’m glad it did.

- Edge (c) vs Jeff Hardy ladder match, Extreme Rules, 7th June
Do I really need to explain why this match is the winner of this dirty? Shawn Michaels’ entrance was amazing. Even if The Undertaker’s entrance was a Gangrel rip off we can forgive that for what happened next. The match was ‘vintage’ Undertaker and HBK. We saw classic Wrestlemania moments like Takers suicide dive (see dirty award for OMG moment of the year) as well as the finish HBK Moonsault into a Tombstone. The other candidates are their also for obvious reasons. JoMo vs. Mysterio was one of the best matches I have seen on Smackdown but the lack of storyline is what let it down. The Falls count anywhere submission match was good because the ending was a shock and it proved Legacy could work hard. The Iron Man match was a brilliant spectacle but the technical ability of the superstars was lacking. The ladder match between Jeff and Edge was a reminder of so many of their epic battles of the past but still a great match in its own right.
O’Dea Note: Taker-Michaels was arguably the match of the decade. They tore the house down, like everyone knew they would. They went for just under 31 minutes and strangely I thought that they were still limited or not given enough time, probably because Trips wanted 20 minutes at the end, I mean that match really screwed the audience at Reliant Stadium over, it wasn’t Wrestlemania Main Event quality especially after the nearly picture perfect build up. And also Triple H never actually smashed through that glass live, they just saw him stand there for a second then walk down the ramp through a frame, people in the stadium must have gone “What, What on earth was that”. I mean, what happened there surely if Shelton is allowed to jump off that enormous ladder, live, surely Trips can break a bit of glass, live!
I also really liked the Submissions Count Anywhere Match, it was interesting how they were going to do it leading up to the PPV, but they didn’t disappoint, the only disappointment, if any, was you knew that Shawn Michaels would be the one who took the loss. I was the over-riding reason that the Ironmatch was in the nominations just because of the spectacle and in relation to the rest of the PPV, it was miles and miles better than anything else on the card. The only reservation I have with that match was how obvious the ending the was and who was going to win with just under 2 minutes to go.

Do I really need to explain why this match is the winner of this dirty? Shawn Michaels’ entrance was amazing. Even if The Undertaker’s entrance was a Gangrel rip off we can forgive that for what happened next. The match was ‘vintage’ Undertaker and HBK. We saw classic Wrestlemania moments like Takers suicide dive (see dirty award for OMG moment of the year) as well as the finish HBK Moonsault into a Tombstone. The other candidates are their also for obvious reasons. JoMo vs. Mysterio was one of the best matches I have seen on Smackdown but the lack of storyline is what let it down. The Falls count anywhere submission match was good because the ending was a shock and it proved Legacy could work hard. The Iron Man match was a brilliant spectacle but the technical ability of the superstars was lacking. The ladder match between Jeff and Edge was a reminder of so many of their epic battles of the past but still a great match in its own right.
O’Dea Note: Taker-Michaels was arguably the match of the decade. They tore the house down, like everyone knew they would. They went for just under 31 minutes and strangely I thought that they were still limited or not given enough time, probably because Trips wanted 20 minutes at the end, I mean that match really screwed the audience at Reliant Stadium over, it wasn’t Wrestlemania Main Event quality especially after the nearly picture perfect build up. And also Triple H never actually smashed through that glass live, they just saw him stand there for a second then walk down the ramp through a frame, people in the stadium must have gone “What, What on earth was that”. I mean, what happened there surely if Shelton is allowed to jump off that enormous ladder, live, surely Trips can break a bit of glass, live!
I also really liked the Submissions Count Anywhere Match, it was interesting how they were going to do it leading up to the PPV, but they didn’t disappoint, the only disappointment, if any, was you knew that Shawn Michaels would be the one who took the loss. I was the over-riding reason that the Ironmatch was in the nominations just because of the spectacle and in relation to the rest of the PPV, it was miles and miles better than anything else on the card. Hot RAW with Hot Rod! Boom, Boom, Boom! Be Miz!
'For the Hundreds in attendance and the millions watching at home lets get ready to' Pedigree Hornswoggle!
Hot Rod was amazing as the guest host and despite the opening segment which was weak, Iron Sheik whatever. Other than that it was amazing! Hot Rod and Vince at Mania, maybe? But that led to the rise of the next star of Raw, Kofi (phony Jamaican) Kingston. who Boom dropped his way to stardom (what elevation by the way.)
Also and amazing match was MVP vs The Miz and although a bit random, it was a solid match with a good finish and if I am honest, I think that there will not be a Marty Jannetty between the Miz and Morrison just two HBKs.
Another plus point is that WWE have finally worked out how to do a multi-team tag match properly, if there are 3 teams make it a triple threat in the ring. The match was far to short, but it did build up Survivors Series well and it made me want to see it more.
Another earning votes as the Power25 would put it is the Celtic Warrior Sheamus, he beat up the time keeper (easy heat) and the King (easier heat) I the future is bright, the future has orange hair, watch this space!

This is from the WWE Championship Triple Threat Match at Wrestlemania 24, since then we've found out what all these people are really like backstage, thanks in part to Ken Anderson and his two mountains, this is the real and metaphorical one in terms of this picture.
Blast From The Past - September 16th, 2005
On the 16th Spetember 2005, one of the biggest rivalries of 2005, Randy Orton vs Undertaker, progressed to part three on today's episode of Smackdown. Undertaker won at Wrestlemania 21 and Orton had won at SummerSlam, and tonight it took a strange turn. After plenty of back-and-forth action, Orton was able to buy himself some time after a DDT on Undertaker. This allowed Cowboy Bob Orton and some men to back a U-Haul truck up to ringside. The truck actually contained a casket.
But Undertaker finally turned the tables, catching Orton with a leg to the head before wearing him down with some hard right hands, a flying shoulder and a big leg drop. Eventually, the action went to the outside, and Taker had Orton on his shoulder ready to place him in the casket. But when he opened the casket, Undertaker saw a spitting image of himself lying there. Undertaker almost appeared spooked as Orton went back on the offensive, even hitting an RKO. But Undertaker would amazingly kick out and then sit up, meaning curtains for Orton.
One chokeslam later, the pin was in order until Cowboy Bob interrupted the pin and attacked Undertaker. Taker dispatched of the Hall of Famer before connecting on a Tombstone on Randy and recording the pin. Despite coming out on the losing end, it has become clear that the Ortons are messing with Undertaker's mind like no one before.

Randy Orton Responds to Ken Anderson on PWR Show on 540 ESPN

Randy Orton occasionally posts messages at www.Orton-Forum.com, a discussion forum for all things Orton. The adminstrators have confirmed several times that it is indeed the WWE Superstar. Furthermore, he has made announcements there in the past, such as the birth of his first daughter and his apparent motorcycle accident last summer.
It was brought to Orton's attention that during a recent interview, Ken Anderson, formerly known as Mr. Kennedy in WWE, blamed both him and John Cena for getting him fired from the company. He also implied they were using political clout to bury other wrestlers. In response to his allegations, Orton made the following post:
"He is in denial. He thinks you have to be able to do a moonsault to know how to work. And, as for dropping me on my head, he did. He never got to see all 4 camera angles of him doing it. I did. Plus, the left side of my neck down to my trap was sore all week in MX. I did tell Ken that he shouldn't be dropping me on my head with such a simple basic move. He never said sorry, and even called me a liar after the match! I remember looking at him in disbelief. And yes, I did tell managment I did not want to work with him after that. Who wouldn't? That's my side."
He later followed up his initial post with another post regarding Kennedy. Here is what he wrote:
"There is another thing.....never did I get my neck 'taped' as he claims it was in that interview. Also, the whole 'bear hug' story does have some truth to it. Early in the day that morning in LA, he came up behind me and grabbed around my chest and picked me up off of the floor. I don't know anyone who enjoys being tackled from behind and picked up off the floor. When he let go and I relized that it was ken, I was like oh,ok, your back, cool. My reaction of his big return was watered down and I found it very funny reading in his interview that he felt like I had an agenda,or almost like I wanted him gone.
Not until I was given a belly to back suplex onto back of my neck did I have any neg feelings with Mr anderson. I honestly hope for his wifes sake that he can find sometrh
Else he's marginally good at,and earn a living. I know he really wants to entertain, so

Blink and it's over....But He's Back
William Regal's plan unfolded??? According to Matt Striker. So instead of blindsiding the champ before the match and winning the title. His plan was to lose the match and then beat Christian up. Now I do not claim to be an expert but ECW is not until Tuesday and I would like to think the next ECW title match will be 'Breaking Point' which is three weeks away. So is there going to be some residual effects? I don't think so. Well to make up for this absolutely stupid idea hopefully Regal will destroy Christian at 'Breaking Point' with the Regal Strech and give some class to the ECW Title.
To be honest, I can live with DX winning cause it was an amazing match with a great entrance, Legacy were on the top of their game and will only get better working with DX. I am pleased Show and Y2J won and even pleased MVP beat Swagger although I would have liked a longer match. Kane vs Khali was surprisingly good especially the ending with the veteran outsmarting the rookie, using his emotions. But I will not be able for a long time to be able to understand the decision to make the ECW title match go down like that.
Restart after restart, wow, i never knew Orton vs Cena could be this bad and yet... the match was restarted not once, not twice, not three times but four times. The fan, a plant? A nutjob? Since when could another official correct a mistake of another in the past the in ring official would have gone with his original decision. Likewise how did Lilian Garcia get news from Vince without a headset? When Freddie Prinze Jr was interviewed he implied that he was going to interfere on Cena's behalf to help him win but that was not to be. To be honest all I know is that after that awful match I don't want Cena Vs Orton at 'Breaking Point' I would rather Orton vs HBK or Orton vs MVP or perhaps even dare I say it Orton vs Santino Marella at 'Breaking Point'!
TLC led to RIP. Jeff Hardy lost,can't say I am not happy cause I am ecstatic. I think this could also signal the end of Jeff Hardy's run in WWE despite Matt Hardy saying he was staying. Taker is the new World Heavyweight Championship number 1 contender and Punk is the champ. Hardy was almost stretchered out before the end of the match (kayfabe I assume) but a (kayfabe) injury could be just what WWE need to get him off screen and out of his contract. But it could just be away to get him and Matt working together again? Only time will tell. The match itself was good and the ending was amazing, the high impact climax balanced with the realistic fight for the belt, however this is become more and more over used in ladder matches and WWE need to be careful that they balance out the endings in ladder matches to keep things fresh. The big return was meant to be DX but on a personal level for me I am much more excited about the return of The Demon of Death Valley. This combined with the fact that two of my favorite wrestlers could enter into a feud! Taker Vs Punk. Hopefully Hell's Gate vs Anaconda Vice at 'Breaking Point'
